MS-09G Dowadge

The Dowadge is essentially the final variant of the MS-09 Dom that was fielded by the Principality of Zeon during the One-Year-War. It is, for the most part, just an improved version of the old Dom, and has been improved overall as a ground-combat mobile suit.

The old MS-09 Dom suffered from one major problem: lack of versatile weaponry. Aside from its signature giant bazooka and heat saber, the Dom only had a weak scattering beam gun in its torso to fall back on. The beam gun was so weak, in fact, that its only real practical use was to temporarily blind enemy pilots and overload mobile suit visual sensors. The Dowadge makes some attempt to correct this error with the addition of four fire-linked vulcan guns in the head. While not especially powerful, they can serve as effective anti-vehicle/personel weapons, and make for a good distraction to enemy mobile suits. In addition to this, the Dowadge carries a large, external fuel tank to increase the operational time of the powerful hoverjets that are its primary means of locomotion.

As of the first Neo-Zeon war, the Dowadge is used by not only the Neo-Zeon forces of Axis, but also by some old Zeonic remnant cells and even a paramilitary group known as the African liberation Front.
