Description

The Bawoo was one of the many prototype mobile suits produced by Axis during the first Neo-Zeon war. It is a high-performance mobile suit, capable of separating and transforming into two individual fightercraft, giving it a significant advantage on the battlefield. Because of this, the Bawoo was one of the few prototype mobile suits that actually made it to full scale mass-production.

The Bawoo seems to borrow much of its design aesthetics from the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam, but goes one step further by adding separation capability to the pre-existing transformation systems. The Bawoo separates into two fighters, the Bawoo Attacker and the Bawoo Nutter. The "Attacker" is composed of the upper torso, head, and arms of the mobile suit, and contains the primary cockpit for the combined suit. The Bawoo Nutter is composed of the lower torso and legs of the mobile suit. In the original prototype, shown on the left, both the Bawoo Attacker and Bawoo Nutter had their own cockpits. The later mass-produced model, shown right, removed the Nutter's cockpit and replaced it with an advanced auto-pilot computer. The pilot of the Attacker could also control the Nutter remotely if needed.

The armaments of the Bawoo are numerous, and include a beam rifle, two beam sabers, two 4-tube grenade launchers in the wrists, 6 heavy missiles in the wings of the Bawoo Attacker, and an optional shield containing 5 fire-linked mega particle guns.

The prototype Bawoo was given to the newly-promoted ace pilot Glemy Toto, who had it painted bright orange-red, and decorated with a large Kanji symbol (Kanji is a Japanese alphabet based on Chinese characters) on its left-front skirt armor plate (not shown..too hard to draw).
